In Phase 1, students are introduced to the concept of place-making, identifying townscape qualities and architectural measures that are involved in achieving a responsive architecture design within urban context in the given site.

 

After the group-wide preliminary studies are conducted, students in their separate tutorial groups then select a site and propose mini urban interventions that are walkable, sfe, inclusive and in harmony with surrounding activities adjacent to the selected site, that shall continuously and seamlessly blend into the site’s urban plaza.
